Ecological Land Inventory
Mapping out farms, large forestry tracks and estate property allows the client to get a new view of their land. Accurate mapping will provide the best insight on fencing, field rotations, water lines, property boundaries and more.
Imagery tells one side of the story but it's simply not enough when it comes to managing and monitoring a track of land. This can be seen in farm images above. You can make out a fields, wind-rows and structures. However, to know the numbers beyond these images requires detailed mapping.
Creating layers to reflect the core land attributes allows for monthly monitoring of wind-rows. In addition, when each pasture is digitized it allows for a deeper understanding of acres and type.
Open Source spatial layers allow for detailed elevation views as well as critical habitat analysis.
